Claremore Woman Charged with Manslaughter in DUI Death of Daughters

Prosecutors from Rogers County Oklahoma on Tuesday filed two counts of first-degree manslaughter against Destiny Lynn Burns.

Burns while driving on a Rogers County road near Foyil struck a tree and which cut the car in 2, according to the Highway Patrol. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that Burns 2 daughters, passengers in here vehicle, were pronounced dead at the scene

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation measured her Burns’ blood-alcohol level, as measured by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, was at .15 percent.  This is nearly two times the legal limit, documents indicated.

Burns bail was set at $200,000.

Lindsay Nicole Emery, a third passenger in the vehicle, was taken to Claremore Regional Hospital, where the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that she was treated and released.
